Important Update: IEEPA Tariffs & New Section 122 Tariffs

Important Update: IEEPA Tariffs & New Section 122 Tariffs 1050 592 Ultraflex Marketing

Recent developments in U.S. trade policy have resulted in changes to the tariffs applied to imported goods. Below is a summary of what these updates mean and what customers should be aware of moving forward.

Key Updates

IEEPA Tariffs Eliminated
The U.S. Supreme Court has struck down the tariffs previously imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). U.S. Customs and Border Protection will no longer collect these tariffs on entries made on or after February 24, 2026.

New Section 122 Tariff Introduced
A tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 will now apply to imports from all countries beginning February 24, 2026. The tariff is currently set at 10 percent, with the possibility of increasing to 15 percent, and may remain in effect for up to 150 days.

Limited Ocean Shipment Exception
Ocean shipments that were loaded and in transit prior to February 24, 2026 and entered into the United States before February 28, 2026 may qualify for an exemption from the new tariff.

De Minimis Remains Suspended
Duty-free de minimis treatment for imports valued under $800 remains suspended.

Refund Status

Although the IEEPA tariffs have been invalidated, there is currently no confirmed process for refunds. The courts and U.S. Customs and Border Protection must still determine whether refunds will be issued and how they would be handled. At this time, the ruling did not address refunds and no timeline has been provided.

Until official guidance is released, refunds should not be expected.

Ongoing Monitoring

We are actively monitoring updates from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Court of International Trade, and federal agencies. As additional information becomes available, we will provide updates.

How Sign Shops Can Think Bigger for Winter Sports Events

How Sign Shops Can Think Bigger for Winter Sports Events

As the Winter Olympics approach, event and sporting venues become global stages for athletes, fans, brands, and broadcasters. Every space must work harder to guide crowds, support sponsors, and deliver unforgettable visual impact. For the sign and graphics shops, this means thinking beyond standard banner.

Winter Events venues demand direction, durability, and visual impact, and that starts with understanding how multiple surfaces work together.

Every Surface Is an Opportunity

Floors play a critical role in wayfinding and crowd flow. Adventurescapes is ideal for directional floor graphics and temporary messaging, while Floorscapes flooring delivers durable, high-impact visuals for concourses and high-traffic branded areas.

Walls set the tone inside the venue. FabriTac adhesive-backed wallcovering makes it easy to create immersive tunnels, concourses, and media spaces with fast installs and clean finishes.

Exteriors extend the experience beyond the building. Ultraflex mesh banner materials are built for wind, cold, and large-scale outdoor applications on fencing, barricades, and venue perimeters.

Banners still matter, especially when sustainability is a priority. EcoVantage PVC-free banner solutions deliver bold visuals while aligning with modern environmental expectations.

Even seating can become part of the story. DecorFlex printable upholstery material allows branded seating and lounge areas to feel intentional and fully integrated into the environment.

When the world is watching, materials matter.

Ultraflex offers one of the industry’s most complete portfolios for event graphics, spanning flooring, wallcoverings, mesh, soft signage, upholstery, standard banner, and PVC-free banner solutions. With surfaces engineered to perform together across high-traffic, high-visibility environments, Ultraflex helps sign and graphics businesses think beyond single prints and deliver cohesive, venue-wide experiences built for the biggest stages.

Printing United Expo 2025 Recap

Printing United Expo 2025 Recap 1000 1500 Ultraflex Marketing

Printing United Expo 2025

If you visited Printing United Expo, you probably heard about the bright colors, glowing graphics, and retro energy coming from our booth. We set out to create an experience that showed the power of wide-format materials in a totally unexpected way. The result was a fully built 80s-inspired arcade environment that highlighted the performance, sustainability, and versatility of our product lineup.
Whether you missed us on the show floor or want to revisit what you saw, here is a full recap of how Ultraflex brought the arcade to life.

Fabric Graphics Took Center Stage

The foundation of our entire booth environment was created with VorTex™ Soft Signage fabrics. These materials appeared across every fabric element, from towering backdrop displays to soft-signage interpretations of classic arcade games.
Visitors were able to see how VorTex™ Soft Signage and recycled-content fabrics can still deliver rich color, smooth tensioning, and professional-grade imaging within real-world environments like events, retail spaces, and experiential installations.

FabriTac Enhanced Every Surface

All booth counters and wall bases were covered using FabriTac®, our repositionable adhesive-backed fabric material known for clean removability and effortless application. It is the ideal solution for the fast-paced installation required on the trade show floor and proved once again why it is a go-to graphic for experiential environments.

Floors That Completed the Arcade Atmosphere

Floorscapes® delivered a classic black-and-white checkered arcade floor with excellent durability and sharp, consistent imagery.

UltraCarpet® Pantone brought the neon glow. Under UV lighting, the printed carpet illuminated with vibrant arcade-inspired patterns that stopped visitors in their tracks.

Both products demonstrated how floor graphics and custom printed carpet can be powerful storytelling elements within branded spaces.

DecorFlex Brought Retro Seating to Life

The seating areas were outfitted with custom printed DecorFlex®, which gave our arcade-style barstools both comfort and durability. Attendees loved seeing this material in a furniture application because it showed how flexible and creative the substrate can be when designers want to push beyond traditional graphic uses.

Evolve® PE Pro Powered Retro Arcade Posters

No arcade is complete without iconic poster art. Evolve® PE Pro was used to produce a series of retro-style posters inspired by classic games and movies. Visitors could see firsthand how the coated PE film delivered outstanding print life, color performance, and compatibility across multiple ink technologies. It also reinforced why Evolve PE Pro is the next evolution of sustainable PE signage.

UltraVision® Micro-Perf 60/40 Delivered Crisp Window Graphics

The booth exterior featured UltraVision® Micro-Perf 60/40, which provided vibrant, high-resolution graphics while maintaining interior visibility. It was an ideal way to brand the booth exterior without closing off the entry, and it helped create anticipation before attendees stepped inside.

Interactive Gaming With Signetics® Magnetic Receptive

Signetics® Magnetic Receptive turned into a life-size, interactive Tetris-style game where attendees could move and stack brightly printed magnetic receptive pieces, experiencing the smooth, reliable performance of Signetics for hands-on engagement.
This installation showed how magnetic receptive systems can transform branded environments into interactive moments. The game demonstrated how easy it is to update, rearrange, and refresh graphics in retail, education, museums, and experiential spaces without tools or adhesives.

A Booth Experience Designed for Inspiration

Our Printing United presence was more than a showcase of materials. It was a full environmental demonstration of what is possible when creativity meets print innovation. From soft signage to flooring materials, PVC-free media, and perforated window graphics, the Ultraflex lineup worked together to create a memorable, immersive experience.
If you visited us at the show, thank you for being part of it. If you missed us, there is still plenty to explore!

Industry Update: Tariff Impact & Our Commitment to You

The latest tariff measures imposed by the administration are expected to have a direct impact on global trade, increasing costs for imported materials and goods. As a company committed to providing high-quality products while maintaining competitive pricing, Ultraflex is closely monitoring these developments and evaluating their effect on our supply chain.

One key area of concern is our container business, where these tariffs may influence costs associated with shipping and material sourcing. We are actively assessing the situation and will do our best to absorb the added expenses on existing orders in-house. However, as we analyze the financial impact, we will identify orders where tariff costs may need to be passed through to maintain sustainable operations.

Our team is working diligently to minimize disruptions for our customers and maintain the level of service and product quality they expect. We remain committed to transparency and will provide timely updates as more details emerge. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact customer service at csr@ultraflexx.com or 973-627-8608.

Sincerely,
Ultraflex Systems

Update on East Coast Port Strikes

Update on East Coast Port Strikes 1080 1080 Ultraflex Marketing

Riverview, FL – We want to provide an important update regarding the potential impact of upcoming strikes at East Coast ports, which begin on October 1. These labor disputes are creating uncertainty for shippers and may have significant ramifications for the broader supply chain.

Potential Impact:

East and Gulf Coast ports handle approximately 43% of U.S. imports. A one-day strike could take five days to clear, while a week-long strike could lead to congestion lasting until mid-November. Recovery from significant disruptions could take 3-6 months, depending on the severity.

We are actively developing contingency plans to prepare alternative shipping routes, such as rerouting shipments through West Coast ports and exploring alternative transportation modes where feasible.

As this situation evolves, our team is closely monitoring developments and remains committed to supporting you. If there are any significant changes that could affect costs or delivery times, we will notify you immediately.

Thank you for your continued trust during this challenging time. Please contact us at 973-627-8608 or email us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Ultraflex Systems
