Most Ulftraflex Systems materials can be used with many types of printing equipment. UltraPoplin PES S240, for example, is a 100% knitted polyester with a universal coating that can be used as a solvent, eco-solvent, latex, screen printing, dye transfer, direct dye or UV printing material. It is a versatile material that can be used for a variety of applications including banners, wall covering art reprographics and more.
Each type of printing has advantages and disadvantages over the others. Eco-solvent printing materials are often preferred for use in indoor applications, because they have less residual odor from the printing process and ventilation is not needed. More vibrant color is often associated with UV printed material. Substrates are dried by a photomechanical process during UV printing with less color being adsorbed into the material and away from the top of the material.
All Ultraflex Systems employees are subject matter experts who are able to help you determine whether the best result for your application would be from using a UV printing material or eco-solvent materials. We often suggest clients take advantage of our Free Sample Program. Product samples can be tested to ensure materials are compatible with your printing equipment. In stock sample materials normally ship to US locations within 3-5 business days, so contact an Ultraflex Systems associate to request a sample today!
